Job Description

Operative is looking for a well-rounded Software Engineer with 4-6 yrs. of Industry experience in developing Java SaaS web applications. The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science with high skills in object oriented programming.

Responsibilities

• Developing front end architecture.
• Designing user interactions on web pages.
• Developing back end applications.
• Creating servers and databases for functionality.
• Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones.
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
• Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
• Designing and developing APIs.
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

Skills and Experience

Required Skills

• Strong application design and implementation skills, with a solid understanding of the entire development cycle
• Strong background in Java / J2EE / JSP and Spring / Hibernate /Jquery / Javascript / JSF / AngularJS
• Experience working with Apache and/or Tomcat
• Experience in transforming requirements to software design
• Experience with relational databases like MySql, Oracle
• Spring and Hibernate experience

COMPETENCIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently to audiences with a wide range of technical skills and management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: proven ability to work in dependently and in a team to solve complex problems

Advantages

• Familiarity with the media and television industry

EDUCATION,CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 4-6 years of work experience in UI Development for the web
• 3 years of experience in Angular
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or comparable work experience
