Job Description

Operative, a leading provider of business solutions for major Media companies is currently looking for a well-rounded Software Engineer with 3-5 yrs of Industry experience in developing Java SaaS web applications. The ideal candidate would have a Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science with high skills in object oriented programming.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of architecture, design and programming experience preferably in fast-paced dynamic environment
• Strong application design and implementation skills, solid understanding of entire development cycle.
• Experience working with Apache and/or Tomcat
• Experience in transforming requirements to software design
• Strong background in Java/J2EE/Microservices based application
• Can work independently and with supervisory review on moderate to highly complex programming tasks. Provides analysis of problems and recommends solutions.
• In depth knowledge in Spring/Spring-boot/ORM
• Working experience in JavaScript/Angular
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
• RDBMS (MySQL/Redshift/Postgres)
• NoSQL (Mongo/ES)
• TDD
• RESTful Web Services
• Multi-tier distributed web application
• Good understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies
• Regular attendance and timeliness are required.

Advantages

• AWS, Server-less, Kafka, SQS, Containerisation (Docker & Kubernetes), BDD.
• Experience in working on UI frameworks, Angular 4 and above.
• Experience with on-line advertising technologies or large-scale workflow systems is very helpful.
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
